Type Locality and Naming
Along the Suyukta River, Turkestan Range. 3.S. Rumyantseva, 1973 (387, p. 76). Stratotype on the Akbuke River, above the Aibulak spring.
Synonym: Sulyuktinskaya Svita, Сулюктинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Thin-bedded limestones interbedded with oolitic, algal-foraminiferal, nodular, aphanitic, and crinoidal limestones. Thickness 100-135m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It lies transgressively on the Upper Silurian
Upper contact
It is unconformably overlain by limestones of the Early Bashkirian Middle Carboniferous age (Bukharin et al., 1996; 439).
Regional extent
Northern slope of the Turkestan Range.

Contains foraminifers - Earlandia vulgaris Raus. et Reitl., Plectogyra prisca Raus. et Reitl.; corals - Palaeosmilia murchisoni E. et H., P. nodosa Kabak.; brachiopods - Gigantoproductus giganteus Mart., Antiquatonia insculpta M.-W.
